ACSI manufactures heavy-duty conveyor equipment for automotive, industrial, and manufacturing environments where loads are heavy, duty cycles are continuous, and equipment is expected to perform reliably without excessive maintenance. Our drag chain, slat, and heavy-duty chain-driven live roller conveyors are engineered to move engine assemblies, castings, pallets, and other industrial loads that exceed the capacity of lighter conveyor equipment.

The DC drag chain conveyor and the DCE photo eye controlled accumulating drag chain are the foundation of ACSI’s heavy pallet and skid transport line. Running on two No. 60 single-pitch conveyor chains on 36″ centers with a UHMW chain guide, the DC provides low-profile transport — available as low as 12″ elevation to the top of chain. 9″ x 7 gauge powder-painted formed steel channel frames and floor supports at each bed joint are standard. The DCE variant adds photo eye controlled zero-pressure accumulation, allowing loads to queue without contact in staging and marshaling areas.

For heavy loads on wider conveyors or irregular load shapes, the SL heavy duty slat conveyor provides a flat carrying surface capable of handling loads that would not ride stably on roller or chain surfaces. Slat conveyors are commonly specified for engine block transport, fixture-based assembly, and applications where the load must be positioned precisely on the conveyor surface.

For heavy carton, case, and part transport where live roller surface is preferred over belt, ACSI’s 251-series and 350-series chain-driven live roller conveyors handle loads from medium-heavy to very heavy. The 350CRR uses 3-1/2″ diameter x .30 wall rollers on heavy 7 gauge formed steel frames — suitable for loads exceeding the capacity of the lighter 22-series chain-driven rollers. Curves (251CRRC, 251CRRCT tapered roller) and tapered roller curves are available for routing heavy loads around corners.

For pallet accumulation in heavy manufacturing environments — staging finished goods, queuing pallets before stretch wrapping, or accumulating heavy unit loads in shipping areas — the 251-series pallet accumulators handle up to 4,000 lbs per unit load with total system live loads up to 42,000 lbs on a 2 HP drive. Both mechanically operated (251CDA) and photo eye controlled (251CDE) versions are available, along with air-operated variants (251ACDA, 251ACDE) for pneumatically controlled facilities.

ACSI offers engineered-to-order and modified standard equipment for heavy industrial applications that fall outside standard catalog parameters.
