The Challenge

Built for Manufacturing Demands.

ACSI manufactures conveyor equipment for inline assembly lines, work-in-process (WIP) management, and production feed systems. From a simple single-belt line with work surfaces on a light assembly operation to a multi-zone accumulating system feeding a production cell, we build standard and custom-configured equipment that fits your cycle time, product weight, and floor layout.

Belt conveyors are the most common foundation of assembly line applications. Our LPB medium duty and HPB heavy duty slider bed conveyors can be built with side tables — 10″, 16″, or 22″ wide formed steel tables attached to the conveyor bed — providing a continuous ergonomic work surface alongside the moving belt. Side tables are a factory option on both models. Variable speed drives are available to let you dial in cycle time from a push-button station. Constant and variable belt speeds, single-phase motors, and a range of belt materials including black PVC, nitrile, and rough-top belts are all available as options.

Between assembly stations, zero-pressure accumulation is often needed to create a buffer that lets each station operate at its own pace without shutting down the upstream line. Our 190MRA MDR conveyor provides this cleanly: 24VDC brushless motor rollers control each zone independently, so product accumulates without contact pressure and releases on signal. Zone lengths in 18″, 24″, 30″, or 36″ increments let you tune the buffer to your part length. The 190MRA runs at 60–200 FPM and is available in 15″, 21″, 27″, and 33″ belt face widths. Optional belted MDR zones are available for applications requiring improved product contact or smoother zone control, and optional Poly-V driven rollers provide quiet, efficient roller-to-roller power transfer — both are factory options specified at the time of order.

For applications where minimum-pressure (rather than zero-pressure) accumulation is acceptable, the 138CAP light duty and 190CAP medium duty belt-driven accumulating conveyors are economical alternatives. These V-belt driven accumulating conveyors use zone clutches to reduce contact pressure during accumulation — a cost-effective choice when product is durable and some contact is tolerable.

For index and transfer applications, our modular plastic belt conveyor (MPB) handles products that need positive grip or drainage, while our line shaft live roller (190LS, 190LSE) and belt-over-roller families handle medium-duty carton and tote transport where roller surface is preferred over belt.

ACSI manufactures to the specifications your application requires, and our distributor network helps translate your cycle time, product weight, elevation, and floor layout into the right equipment configuration. Standard catalog products cover most light-to-medium assembly applications. When requirements fall outside standard parameters, engineered-to-order options — modified standard equipment or fully custom designs built to your drawing — are available. Assembly Line Components

Equipment for Every Station.

Assembly and manufacturing lines typically combine belt conveyors, accumulation zones, and WIP buffers. ACSI manufactures the full range.

Work Station Lines

LPB / HPB belt conveyors with optional side tables (10″, 16″, or 22″ wide). Variable speed drives, push-button controls, and multiple belt materials available as factory options.

Zero-Pressure Accumulation

190MRA MDR between stations for WIP buffering without product contact. Zone lengths in 18″–36″ increments. 24VDC, quiet, energy efficient, simple wiring.

Minimum-Pressure Accumulation

138CAP / 190CAP belt-driven zone accumulators for economical WIP queuing where light contact pressure is acceptable. Lower cost alternative to MDR for durable products.

Custom Engineering

Non-standard bed widths, elevations, and drive configurations available on application. ACSI can engineer to your drawing when standard catalog equipment does not fit your requirements.
